Servant Leadership simplified

Servant leadership flips the script on how we usually think about being in charge. Instead of being the big boss calling the shots, it's more like being a teammate who's got everyone's back. It's all about empathy, staying humble, and making sure everyone on the team has what they need to shine. When you lead like this, it builds a environment of trust and teamwork. This approach fosters trust, collaboration, and a culture where everyone feels valued and empowered. People feel valued and ready to give their best. It's not about being the top dog; it's about lifting others up and making the whole crew stronger together.

Importance of the Right Culture

I can’t say how right the author is in this article about Google and the direction of Google, but I do agree on the emphasis of this article.

The culture of an organization is an important aspect and the ultimate responsibility of a leader is to nurture and shape the organizational culture. Culture is not merely about values and mission statements but revolves around how employees feel about their work.
"Culture is about the way people feel about working for you."

The four organizational cultures:

Book Recommendation

Recently, I read a book to help improve how I give feedback. "How to Say Anything to Anyone" by Shari Harley is a must-read for anyone looking to improve their communication skills with your team, manager or partners. The book provides practical advice that is honest and concise. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to improve their communication skills. #communication #feedback #bookrecommendation
